Andrey and Mikhail got their first glimpse of modern dance in the 1990’s in the Russian city of Ufa. Both men dedicated their lives to this artform. In 2014, after Crimea was annexed into the Russian Federation, the country authorities began a genocide against the peninsula’s indigenous people, the Crimean Tatars. Many men were arrested and convicted in trumped-up terrorism cases. Women whose husbands and sons were imprisoned fight for justice, and their children have to become adults ahead of time. Grief unites the entire nation, but every year the authorities arrest more and more Crimean Tatars.

A young woman named Alfinaz, the mother of two children is going to leaving for a long journey. Husband is a life prisoner and the wife is an exemplary muslim woman and submissive to her husband. She is waiting for him and not losing hope for his release. The film tells us about a female power and submissiveness of a wife to her husband and to God. The message of the film also concerns hardships and praise to God, resignation of a woman who is destined to be a Wife.

Rising national spirit, making people believe and hope became their aim. But they didn’t know that the war would last for long 4 years. But notwithstanding all the difficulties they stayed true to their oath. There’re only 4 theatres left out of 36 in Bashkortostan.
There’s also the theatre of 7 girls which still exists. This is Salavat state Bashkir drama theatre — the theatre that must live despite everything as a reminder of the war that impossible to forget.

Gaziz spent all his whole life in a village. In 1986, he was sent to the region of the Chernobyl disaster to eliminate the consequences of the accident. After 28 years, he was finally given an apartment in the village. Gaziz has no wife, no children, and his health has deteriorated. He has only his Mom and a lonely apartment.
